I worked for almost 30 years for a charity providing work experience and training in Horticulture to adults with learning disabilities and also supporting people with a range of mental health struggles.
For a number of years I have been a volunteer listener for the Samaritans and a bereavement support volunteer for Cruse. I also volunteer for a charity in Hull which provides therapeutic counselling to survivors of trauma and child abuse. Through all of these roles I have developed a better understanding of myself and others.
As well as enjoying theses roles I am also a wife, a mother and a dedicated dog lover!
I have seen counselling work, again and again. I know that it can make a real difference in someone’s life. To be able to have a place to go where they can be honest and open about themselves, without fear of being judged. Come to my purpose built therapy room and see how it can work for you.
